| The bowling season starts in late April and runs through to the end of September. Friendly matches are played throughout the season against other local clubs and we also play in two leagues. Friendly matches and League games are usually followed by tea and there is a chance to socialise after the game if you so wish. We also have internal competitions that you can enter and at the end of the season there is a Finals Day. Members may also bowl casually (we call it 'roll ups'). This is where members simply turn-up for informal games with other Club members. We are a mixed Club and are always looking for new members both experienced and beginners. If you have never bowled before, don't worry as there is plenty of help and we have qualified coaches on hand. Bowling is fun, very social, and a good place to make new friends. Initially you do not require anything other than a pair of flat soled shoes as we will supply the bowls. Before you join the club we allow you to have a month's trial to see if you enjoy it. After that it's up to you. Winter Season Some members continue bowling throughout the winter season at various indoor clubs, where you can meet other Club members and members of different clubs that you may have played throughout the summer.
